Carhartt WIP at One80 Boardshop
Carhartt started in Detroit in 1889, making work clothing for railroad and factory workers. In 1989 the European Work In Progress line took those workwear pieces and adapted them for skateboarding, music and street culture. The result is hard-wearing clothing with relaxed cuts and a low-key look that has been a fixture in skateparks and cities for more than three decades.
Carhartt WIP essentials
- Pants: the Single Knee and Double Knee pants in rigid Dearborn canvas, plus the wide-cut Landon pant.
- Jackets: the blanket-lined Detroit Jacket and the quilted OG Active Jacket, both in Dearborn canvas.
- Hoodies and sweats: the Chase hoodie and sweatshirt with the small embroidered C logo.
- T-shirts: pocket tees, Script tees and seasonal graphic prints.
- Accessories: the Acrylic Watch Hat beanie, caps, belts, wallets, bags and socks.
Fit and fabric
Fits differ per model. The Single Knee and Double Knee pants have a relaxed, straight leg; the Landon pant is cut wide. Dearborn canvas feels stiff at first and softens, fades and creases as you wear it in. Not sure about your size? Visit us in Oudenaarde and try it on.
