Gloves or mittens?
Gloves
Five separate fingers give you the most grip and dexterity: handy for buckling bindings, grabbing your board or using your phone. Less warm than mittens on very cold days.
Mittens
Your fingers warm each other, which makes mittens the warmest choice. Ideal if you get cold hands quickly. The park favourite, too.
Trigger mitts
A mitten with a separate index finger: almost as warm as a mitten, with a bit more grip for straps and zips.
Warm and dry hands
- Waterproof membrane: a Gore-Tex or 10K membrane keeps out melting snow, even when you grab the snow a lot.
- Leather palm: grips better and lasts longer, especially if you touch the snow and your board a lot.
- Liner: a thin inner glove adds warmth and can also be worn on its own on mild spring days.
- Cuff: long gauntlet cuffs go over your jacket sleeve, short cuffs under it. Either way, no snow gets in.
What size snowboard gloves?
Measure around your hand just below your knuckles, without your thumb, and compare it with the brand's size chart on the product page. Your fingertips should just not touch the end: a bit of air keeps your hands warmer than a tight glove. For kids, don't buy too big to grow into, or they lose grip.
How much do good snowboard gloves cost?
- Up to €50: solid gloves and liners for a week a year.
- €50 – €80: the sweet spot, with better insulation, leather details and waterproof membranes.
- €80 and up: premium mittens and Gore-Tex gloves for riders who go often or get cold quickly.
Complete your outfit
Gloves work best with a jacket whose sleeves seal well. Combine them with a matching snowboard jacket and a neckwarmer, and find the rest of your kit in our snowboard clothing.

Frequently asked questions about buying snowboard gloves
Where can I buy snowboard gloves in Belgium?
In our shop in Oudenaarde, or online right here. Online we deliver across Belgium and the rest of Europe.
Are mittens warmer than gloves?
Yes. In a mitten your fingers warm each other, so you lose less heat. Gloves give more dexterity.
How do I keep my gloves dry?
Tuck the cuff properly over or under your sleeve, and let your gloves dry at room temperature after riding, not on a radiator: that dries out the leather and membrane.
Are ski gloves and snowboard gloves different?
They're very similar. Snowboard gloves are often a bit tougher and more reinforced on the palm, because you touch the snow and your board more.
