Snowboard, bindings & boots rental — version of 29 October 2026
These rental terms apply to every rental of snowboards, bindings and/or boots (as a set or separately) from One80 Boardshop. By ticking the box on the rental reservation form and/or collecting the equipment, you (the renter) confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. For rentals, these terms take precedence over our general terms and conditions.
1. Who we are
One80 Boardshop, a trade name of Sideways Boardshop BV
Markt 61, 9700 Oudenaarde, Belgium
VAT: BE0770509008 · info@one80boardshop.com
2. Reservation & payment
- Your reservation is final once we have confirmed it by email.
- Reservations made within 7 days of departure carry an express reservation fee of €10 (subject to availability).
- The rental price is paid in full when you collect the equipment in our shop. All prices include VAT.
- The student deal only applies on presentation of a valid student ID at pickup. Kids rates only apply to kids equipment.
3. Pickup & condition check
- At pickup we check the equipment together with you. Any existing damage is noted on your rental slip and/or photographed.
- Please check the equipment yourself and point out any defect before you leave the shop. Equipment collected without remarks is considered handed over in good condition, apart from the damage already noted.
4. Use of the equipment
- You use the equipment with care and only for normal snowboarding.
- You may not lend or sublet the equipment to anyone else, or modify or repair it yourself. Adjusting binding angles, straps and stance width is of course allowed.
- You store the equipment safely and take reasonable precautions against theft (e.g. never leave it unattended and unlocked).
5. Return
- You return the equipment on the agreed date during our opening hours (the shop is closed on Sundays).
- For every day the equipment is returned late, we may charge one extra day of rent at the applicable day rate.
- Please return the equipment dry and reasonably clean.
6. Damage
- We inspect the equipment on return, if possible in your presence.
- Normal wear and tear is never charged — for example light scratches on the base or topsheet and normal edge wear.
- Damage beyond normal wear (for example a core shot, cracks or delamination, a broken or ripped-out edge, a broken binding part, or damaged boots) is assessed by One80 Boardshop. The damage cost is the repair cost at our workshop rates or, if repair is not possible or not economical, the current value of the equipment taking its age and condition into account.
- Damage cost of €75 or less: covered by One80 Boardshop, you pay nothing.
- Damage cost above €75: you pay the full damage cost.
- You receive a written overview of the damage and the costs, with photos. Payment is due within 14 days. If you disagree, let us know in writing within 7 days of receiving the overview and we will look for a solution together.
7. Loss & theft
- The rental equipment remains the property of One80 Boardshop. You are responsible for it from pickup until return.
- In case of loss or theft you pay the current value of the equipment, taking its age and condition into account.
- Theft must be reported to the local police immediately; please give us a copy of the police report.
- The rental does not include insurance. We recommend a travel or winter sports insurance that covers rented equipment.
8. Liability
Snowboarding is at your own risk. One80 Boardshop is not liable for accidents or injuries that result from the use of the equipment, except where caused by our own fault or by a defect that was already present at pickup, and always within the limits of Belgian law.
9. Personal data
We only use the data from your reservation to handle your rental and any damage settlement, and never share it with third parties for marketing.
10. Applicable law
Belgian law applies. We always try to resolve disagreements amicably first; failing that, the competent Belgian court decides.
