Technology
The Katana AW FASE® is built to get the very best out of every day on the mountain. The FASE® Fast Entry System means more laps without sacrificing the connected comfort of Rome's strap package.
The AsymWrap Platform has three connection points to the base for a surfy ride and plenty of board feel, without losing tweak or edge-to-edge response. With customisation like the FASE® PivotMount and an adjustable baseplate, these lightweight all-terrain bindings make every board ride better. Adjustability 9/10.
Construction
G Baseplate (15% glass) for a mellow, medium-flexing feel, G Highback (15% glass, 85% nylon), a forged aluminium heelhoop and a 2° dual-density canted footbed.
OmniFlex ankle straps and ProGrip toe straps are powered by AuxTech®: auxetic patterns that get thicker perpendicularly when stretched, a network of tiny hinges that expand evenly under pressure for next-level connected comfort and locked-in hold. PivotMount gives four ankle strap positions per side: higher for a locked-in, powerful feel, lower for a more playful, surfy ride. Never Miss A Day backup parts kit included.
Note: during production of the 2027 run, Rome updated part of these highbacks to a solid-state design. Both versions are fully intentional, fully engineered and ready to ride.
