Step On & Speed Entry Bindings

20 products

Step On, Supermatic or FASE: what's the difference?

Three ways to get into your bindings faster: Burton and Nitro Step On, Nidecker Supermatic and Rome FASE. Step On needs matching Step On boots; Supermatic and FASE work with the boots you already have.

Not sure? Bring your boots to our Oudenaarde shop and try the systems side by side.

Buy Step On and speed entry bindings at One80

Done with sitting in the snow to strap in every run? Step On and speed entry bindings get you in within seconds. At One80 Boardshop you'll find Burton Step On, Nitro Step On, Nidecker Supermatic and Rome FASE, plus the Step On boots to go with them. Order online with delivery across Europe, or try them in our snowboard shop in Oudenaarde.

Step On: no straps at all

Step On is a complete system of binding and boot. Cleats on the boot click into two points at the toe and one at the heel. To get out, you pull the lever on the heel. The fastest entry there is, but you need Step On boots.

Supermatic: automatic, with your own boots

The Nidecker Supermatic is an automatic dual-entry binding. Slide your boot in from behind, push down on the heel pedal and the highback locks up. You set your straps once and leave them done up. It works with regular snowboard boots, from the softer OG to the stiff Carbon.

FASE: the feel of straps, only faster

FASE is built into two-strap bindings like the Rome Katana and Volt. The toe strap stays set, the ankle strap opens wide and the highback closes itself when your heel goes in. Ideal if you love the feel of a classic binding but want to get going faster. Also works with your own boots.

Which entry system suits you?

  • Buying new boots anyway? Go for Step On: the fastest entry and a clean, strapless setup.
  • Want to keep your boots? Pick Supermatic for hands-free entry, or FASE if you want to keep the feel of straps.

Want to compare with regular bindings? See all our snowboard bindings or read our guide on how to choose snowboard bindings.

Step On & Speed Entry Bindings FAQ

Can I use my own snowboard boots?
With Nidecker Supermatic and Rome FASE, yes: both work with regular snowboard boots. Burton and Nitro Step On only work with Step On boots, because the binding clicks into cleats on the boot itself.
Can I mix Burton and Nitro Step On?
Burton and Nitro Step On use the same connection system, so a Nitro Step On boot clicks into a Burton Step On binding and the other way round. Pairing boot and binding from the same brand gives the best fit.
Do these bindings fit my snowboard?
All Step On, Supermatic and FASE bindings we carry fit the common 4x4 and 2x4 insert patterns and Burton's Channel. Not sure? Send us the brand and model of your board and we'll check it for you.
Can I try them in the shop?
Yes. Bring your boots to our shop in Oudenaarde and try Step On, Supermatic and FASE side by side. Buy your bindings from us and we'll mount them on your board and set up your stance.
